Third Storey: A Script Handwritten Font for Creative Branding

I was staring at a blank brand board, the usual chaos of a new project settling in. It was for a small boutique that sells handmade candles and artisanal skincare products. The client wanted something warm, inviting, and personal—something that felt like it was handcrafted just for them. I thought about fonts, and Third Storey came to mind. It’s a Script Handwritten font created by Creativeqube, and from the first glance, I knew it had potential.

Third Storey for Brand Identity and Logo Design

Third Storey is a Script Handwritten font that feels both elegant and approachable. Its flowing lines and subtle flourishes give it a natural, organic feel, which made it perfect for the boutique’s brand identity. I started by testing it on a logo draft, pairing it with a minimalist sans serif typeface to balance the design. The result was clean yet expressive, with a personality that matched the boutique’s vibe.

The font’s character set includes a range of ligatures and alternates, which added visual interest without overwhelming the design. I found myself using it for headings and key brand elements, like the shop name and tagline. It worked well as a headline font, drawing the eye while maintaining readability. I also considered its use in supporting text, but I noticed that it might be too decorative for long-form content. That’s why I used it sparingly, ensuring it didn’t overpower the message.

Third Storey for Packaging and Product Labels

Next, I moved to packaging design. The boutique wanted labels that felt like part of the product experience. I used Third Storey on the front of the candle jars and skincare bottles, letting the font’s handwritten style echo the handmade nature of the goods. It looked great on the label stickers, especially when paired with a simple background or a soft gradient.

I tested it on different sizes and formats, making sure it remained legible even at smaller scales. One thing I noticed was how the font’s weight and spacing affected its clarity. I adjusted the kerning slightly to ensure that the text was easy to read, especially when viewed up close. It was a good reminder that even the most beautiful Script Handwritten font needs careful handling in practical applications.

Third Storey for Social Media Graphics and Website Headers

As the project progressed, I considered how Third Storey could be used across digital platforms. For social media graphics, I used it as an accent font, adding a touch of personality to Instagram posts and Facebook banners. It worked well with bold, minimal backgrounds, letting the font stand out without competing with the visuals.

On the website, I placed Third Storey in the hero section, using it for the main heading and call-to-action buttons. Its Script Handwritten style gave the site a friendly and trustworthy feel, which aligned perfectly with the boutique’s brand voice. I also experimented with font pairing, combining it with a modern sans serif typeface for body text, creating a balanced contrast that enhanced readability.

Third Storey for Print Materials and Editorial Design

When it came to print materials, like brochures and flyers, Third Storey shone. Its elegance and warmth made it ideal for editorial-style layouts. I used it for headlines and subheadings, allowing the font to guide the reader through the content. The font’s fluidity complemented the layout, making the design feel cohesive and intentional.

I also explored its use in business cards and signage. On a small shop sign, Third Storey added a sense of charm and authenticity, making the boutique feel more like a local gem rather than a generic store. It was a subtle but effective way to build brand recognition and create a memorable visual identity.

Third Storey for Commercial Use and Font Licensing

Before finalizing the font choice, I made sure to check the licensing details. Third Storey is a commercial font, which means it can be used for all types of projects, including print and digital media. The font comes in multiple weights and styles, giving designers flexibility in their creative process. I also noted that it supports several languages, which could be useful if the boutique ever expanded its audience.

One thing I appreciated was the font’s versatility. Whether used as a display font, headline font, or accent font, Third Storey adapted well to different design contexts. It wasn’t too flashy, which made it suitable for both high-end branding and everyday marketing materials. This adaptability is one of the reasons I recommend it to other designers working on similar projects.

Third Storey for Real-World Testing and Client Presentations

Testing the font in real-world scenarios was crucial. I created mockups for packaging, signage, and digital assets, then shared them with the client for feedback. They loved the warmth and personality it brought to the brand, and it helped them visualize how the boutique would look in the real world.

I also advised the client on font pairing, suggesting complementary typefaces that would work well with Third Storey. This ensured that the brand’s visual identity remained consistent across all touchpoints. It was a valuable lesson in how a single font can influence the overall design language of a brand.

Ultimately, Third Storey proved to be a reliable choice for the boutique’s branding project. Its Script Handwritten style added a human touch, while its professionalism and readability made it suitable for both print and digital use. It was a great example of how a well-chosen font can elevate a brand and make it stand out in a competitive market.
